Crazy Taxi: World Tour Lists Denuvo Before Full PC Requirements

Crazy Taxi: World Tour is bringing SEGA’s chaotic arcade driving series back in a much bigger form. This is not just a clean re-release of the old Crazy Taxi formula. The new game follows Axel across a global campaign, with stolen taxis, masked villains, five cities, extreme missions, online competition, and a more modern open-ended structure built around driving, speed, stunts, and money.

The game is planned for 2027, but one PC detail has already arrived early: Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently listed with Denuvo Anti-Tampering. That means SEGA’s return to Crazy Taxi is being prepared as a Denuvo-protected PC release before the full system requirements are even ready.

    Denuvo is already listed

The interesting part here is the timing. Crazy Taxi: World Tour still has placeholder PC requirements, but the DRM notice is already visible. That gives players a clear look at one part of the PC launch setup while the hardware picture is still unfinished.

It is not unusual for publishers to add DRM information early, but it still stands out when basic requirements are not complete yet. For now, players know the game is planned for Windows 11 and will require a 64-bit processor and operating system, but the processor, graphics card, sound card, and extra notes are all still marked as TBD.

That creates a strange split: the DRM status is clearer than the performance target.

    PC requirements are still incomplete

The currently listed requirements do not give players enough information to judge how demanding the game will be. There is no CPU target, no GPU target, no memory figure, and no storage requirement in the available specs. That matters because Crazy Taxi: World Tour is being pitched as a larger, more modern game than the arcade entries that built the series’ name.

A globetrotting campaign, multiple cities, multiplayer modes, cross-platform play, AI-driven traffic behavior, and modern visuals could all affect how the PC version runs. Until SEGA publishes the real hardware targets, it is hard to know whether this will be a light arcade racer or a heavier open-world driving release.

Why the DRM detail matters early

Denuvo does not automatically mean a game will run badly. The final PC build will have to be judged on performance, input response, frame pacing, online stability, and how well the game handles fast movement through busy city spaces. Still, when Denuvo appears before full requirements, it becomes part of the pre-launch conversation earlier than usual.

Crazy Taxi is a series built on speed and feel. If World Tour wants to bring that back properly, the PC version needs to feel immediate, sharp, and responsive. That is why players will likely watch both sides of the launch closely: the DRM setup and the eventual system requirements.

For now, the situation is simple. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently listed with Denuvo on PC, while its full PC requirements are still unfinished. Until SEGA fills in the missing hardware details, the DRM notice is one of the clearest technical facts available about the 2027 release.
