A new round of Ubisoft chatter suggests Far Cry 7 has slipped to a 2027 launch window. The claim surfaced over the weekend from leaker Rogue in the original leak thread, which also mentions Assassin’s Creed Hexe landing the same year.
What the new leak actually says
According to Rogue’s post on May 17–18, 2026, Ubisoft is currently aiming both Far Cry 7 and AC Hexe for 2027. The post adds that Far Cry 7 could be revealed this year, lining up with Ubisoft’s habit of showing big projects roughly a year ahead of release. None of this has been confirmed by Ubisoft.
How this lines up with earlier reporting
Prior reporting and insider chatter over the last two years pointed to Far Cry 7 (often referenced internally as Project Blackbird) initially targeting 2025 before moving toward 2026. The 2027 talk would mark another internal shift rather than a public delay, since Ubisoft has never announced a date. In other words, this is a window rumor, not an official schedule change.
