The slow-life camping-car adventure Outbound rolled out today, May 15, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, complete with a new launch trailer. The console drop lands just after the game’s earlier PC and Xbox release, putting a native Switch 2 version in the mix right from the start.
What’s new today
Publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Square Glade Games confirmed the PS5, Switch 2 and Switch launch, pricing the download at 2,970 yen in Japan and highlighting a fresh trailer to mark the release. A small DLC add-on that lets you drive a school bus also went live for 330 yen. A boxed edition for PS5, Switch 2 and Switch is slated for June 25 under Sega’s label, giving collectors a date to mark.
All of this comes via a Japanese release brief that also reiterates the staggered rollout: PC and Xbox Series versions arrived earlier in the week, with Sony and Nintendo platforms following today. The notable part for platform watchers is simple: Switch 2 gets another same-day, native release, adding to early chatter around the system’s growing launch-year lineup.
