Persona 4 Revival Will Use Denuvo on PC

Persona 4 Revival is already carrying the kind of attention Atlus probably expected. A return to Inaba is not a small thing for Persona fans, especially when the pitch is not just another port of Persona 4 Golden. This is a revived version of one of the series’ most beloved stories, with the rural murder mystery, the Midnight Channel, school life, Social Links, and turn-based battles all being brought back for a modern release.

The PC version now has one important detail attached to it before launch: Persona 4 Revival is currently listed with Denuvo Anti-Tamper. That means the game is being prepared as a Denuvo-protected PC release unless Sega or Atlus changes the listing before release.

Denuvo is already part of the PC picture

For Atlus and Sega, this is not exactly a surprising move. Recent Persona and Shin Megami Tensei releases on PC have often arrived with stronger DRM setups than smaller JRPG launches, and Persona 4 Revival is clearly being treated as a major release rather than a quiet catalogue update.

Still, the Denuvo label changes the way some players look at launch day. Persona is not a game people usually finish once and forget. These are long RPGs built around repeat playthroughs, different choices, party builds, romance routes, social stats, and save files that can stay with players for years. That makes offline access, long-term ownership, and post-launch DRM decisions more relevant than they might be for a short one-and-done release.

The release date question is still open

The current official release window has not been locked down yet, which keeps the timing side of the story a little messy. A previous Persona 4 Revival February 2027 rumor pointed toward a possible launch month, but the current public listing still does not give a final date.

That matters because the Denuvo notice is already visible while other details remain unfinished. System requirements are still listed as TBD, editions have not fully settled into the usual pre-launch shape, and Atlus has room to update the page again before release.

A bigger launch than a simple remaster

The real test for Persona 4 Revival will not be the Denuvo tag alone. Fans will want to know how much has changed, how the new presentation handles the tone of the original, whether combat has been meaningfully updated, and how the remake balances nostalgia with modern Persona expectations.

For now, though, the DRM status is clear: Persona 4 Revival is currently listed with Denuvo Anti-Tamper on PC. If that changes before launch, the article will need an update. Until then, the return to Inaba comes with Denuvo attached.
