Wondering if Paper Cult’s new roguelike will ship with Denuvo? As of today, July 20, 2026, the Steam page for Tears of Metal does not list Denuvo or any other third‑party DRM.

Valve’s store pages typically flag "3rd‑party DRM: Denuvo Anti‑tamper" in the right‑hand info panel when it’s present. That label isn’t on the listing right now, and there’s no fine‑print note elsewhere on the page either. In other words, there’s no public Denuvo tag attached to the game at the moment.

What the Steam listing does say

The store entry confirms Paper Cult as both developer and publisher, a planned 2026 release window, and a downloadable demo. It also details core features like single‑player and online co‑op, plus Steam Cloud and Achievements. Minimum PC specs call for a 64‑bit OS, 8 GB RAM and a GTX 1070‑class GPU, with recommended specs pointing to a GeForce RTX 20‑series card. You can check all of that on the game’s Steam listing.

None of those sections include any mention of third‑party DRM. If the team decides to add or remove protections later, the store page is usually where that shows up first.

For players tracking PC protections in general, we keep a running hub on Denuvo and how often it turns up in new releases. For now, Tears of Metal’s public Steam info suggests a clean install without external DRM at launch, but until Paper Cult locks in final shipping details, treat this as a snapshot of the page as it appears today.
