Description
Stronghold 4, developed and published by Firefly Studios, is due to arrive on December 7, 2026, and will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s billed as a narrative prequel to the original castle sim, taking players back to the “green roots” of Stronghold with a cinematic campaign that mixes story beats and fortress-building, plus revamped siege mechanics in skirmish mode and a deep castle-piece customization system. Expect the usual blend of economy-driven village management and tactical castle defence, but with modernized visuals and new gameplay layers aimed at both longtime fans and newcomers.
