Does SAND: Raiders of Sophie have Denuvo on PC?

SAND: Raiders of Sophie has had a messy final stretch before release. The PvPvE extraction shooter was expected to arrive earlier in June, but the launch has now moved to June 22, 2026, with the game entering Early Access instead of landing as a full release.

That delay changes the conversation around the game. SAND is no longer just a big desert extraction shooter trying to hit launch day cleanly. It is now a work-in-progress release that will depend heavily on server stability, player feedback, balance changes, and whether its giant walking base idea can survive contact with a live audience.

No current Denuvo listing

SAND: Raiders of Sophie does not currently show a Denuvo listing on PC. The current public PC release data does not show a Denuvo notice, a third-party DRM label naming Denuvo, or an Anti-Tamper entry attached to the game.

That should be treated as the current status, not a permanent promise. Steam data can change before launch, and Early Access games often keep adjusting their store pages as release plans move around. For now, though, Denuvo is not listed for SAND: Raiders of Sophie.

Early Access is the bigger story

In this case, the absence of a Denuvo listing is only one part of the PC picture. The bigger issue is that SAND now has to prove itself as an Early Access multiplayer game. That means the first real test will probably not be about DRM at all. It will be about servers, queue times, crashes, matchmaking, extraction balance, and whether the Tramplers feel as good in live matches as they do in trailers.

The idea is still strong. Building and piloting a giant mechanical base across a ruined desert planet gives SAND a hook most extraction shooters do not have. The problem is that a good hook does not solve server load, combat balance, or the frustration of losing gear when online systems are unstable.

What players should watch next

The launch version will need to show that SAND can handle both spectacle and repetition. Players will want the walking machines to feel powerful, expeditions to feel risky without becoming unfair, and the world of Sophie to offer enough reasons to return after the first few runs.

For now, the DRM side is simple: SAND: Raiders of Sophie does not currently list Denuvo on PC. If that changes before Early Access begins, the status should be updated, but the main launch question is whether the game’s online foundation is ready for the crowd waiting in the dunes.
